Zoya Miari is a Palestinian-Ukrainian peace ambassador, speaker, and psychology student living in Switzerland. Born to a Palestinian father and a Ukrainian mother, she grew up in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. After moving to Ukraine in 2021, she had to flee once again when war broke out in 2022, eventually finding a new home in Switzerland. Rather than allowing these experiences to define her, Zoya has turned them into a source of strength and inspiration. In 2023, she was named a One Young World Peace Ambassador. She also founded Waves to Home, an international initiative that gives refugees a voice. Today, Zoya combines her commitment to refugee integration with her interest in psychology, resilience, and human connection. Her journey shows that - in the face of adversity - courage, compassion, and hope can build bridges across cultures.
